Picked five tickets in the 32.5/12 area. Dipseys on a four setting back 110' and a three setting back 100'. jets with 2 oz inline weights back 150'. Ran meat on dipsey's and spoons on jets, was about a 50/50 take. I would say that meat took the bigger fish, lost a pig at the net. It just shook his head spit the hook rolled on his side and gave us a wink wink wink !!!!! Must have been one of those that you lost too BK !!!

DE sounds like you were on the dumping grounds. Was any direction better than others? U said your were running in line weights with your jets? hows that work?

Wink, wink, wink......Haven't lost any big fish lately there DE so I don't know what your talkin' bout Willis. If you want I can give you a lesson on how to land those big ones. LOL. Matter of fact we just boxed our 45th fish O this weekend. Not bad eh? Good to see you got out and caught some fish. I was kinda wondering the same thing Bischoff. Normally we put egg sinkers above the jets to get em down lower but maybe DE is onto something there. Can't wait to hear how this is done. A new tactic. Gotta love it! Learn something new all the time about this game we play. Later dudes.

Ok doubleeagle you opened the door on this one.I heard and seen guys doing this last year.I'm guessing that if you stick with a #30 jet and add a 2oz in line weight to it you can get down deeper but also able to let more line out(may be)?How much deeper will the jet run?

Thanks Mark Butler - ( Let Christ be your light house )

I don't know if I should tell you guys this!!! Well OK. Just put a inline weight hooked to a 30 jet and then your rod line. I don't like forty jets and I sure won't like fifty jets. Weights are cheaper than Jets my friends and it works quite well. I'm sure you still lose one now and then BK, I think we can all talk about the one that got away. There wouldn't be any fishing stories if we didn't lose one now and then!!!!

DE,
Didn't say I don't ever lose em man just said recently. So you just hook your jet right to the in line? So mainline hooked to inline hooked to jet? Is this correct? I would guess if this is they way you do it that its the same as adding egg sinkers in front of the jet on your main line. I've got plenty of those stories as well bud. LOL.
Dancin' Bear,
Yeah we've put a hurtin on em this year. Last year I don't think we caught that many Fish O's all season. And we aren't even into big eye time yet in our area. Can't wait for this fall!!!!!

Sounds good BK !!! You are right, about the same as what you are doing. I can't tell you though just how much deeper a 1 or 2oz weight will take you. I haven't taken the time to figure it out or to do the testing in say 30' of water. It's a lot better than letting out 200' of line when say you can do the same or more with say 125'. That is a good number of hogs Kev, how many times is that out fishing to get that many. I know you get a lot of big ones!!! See you at the HOG FEST.

Well I'm not really sure how many times I've been out this season but its probably on average three times a week. That is what I always say too man, the less line you have out the shorter distance to the boat, the less time that fish has to come unbuttoned. Are you fishing the Hawgfest this year DE? I'll be there. I can't wait for it as last year that was a day that I lost a few big ones and who knows what could have been.

People are allowed to come if they aren't fishing it. Who you fishin' with? I'm fishing with my brother and my buddy DJ. It was a blast last year. Hope this year is even better. I can't wait.

I'm glad I'm not fishing alone. You need a lot of friends when it comes to this tournament. Fishing with the right people makes all the difference in the world. I've already begun preparation. Wink, Wink! So Cool!

Speaking of Bait Dave, is he still alive?? You don't hear much from him any more. I thought now that the store is closed he would have more time for his fishing reports. May be he slipped under ground in hiding!
