Can't seem to get registered over there to ask this ??? so figured since I see Bob Y, Big K and some others posting over here I would ask here. Hopefully you will answer questions better then a couple of yur members including one of your officers.
Is there a list a NCA members some where? Maybe I am missing it but can't find one. WOuld liek to see who I know that is on it before I sign up. WOuld seem like that would be something that would be out there?
Thanks,
Andy

| Lured2000,that forum is just like the one on here, unless you are registered you can not see the member list. Why you are having problems registering I don't no but I will pass on the info and have our web guy stoshu see if he can help you get hooked up.After you are registered all you will have to do is go to the top of the forum page and click on the members word and see if you would like to join the NCA club or just be a active member of the forum, all up to you. |
Thanks Mark Butler - ( Let Christ be your light house ) |

Guess i wasn't clear with my question. I was wonderring about a list of NCA club members not people on the forum. I can look at the posts and see who posts to find out who is on the forum. Is there a list somewhere that says who has joined the club?
Not good with computers so not sure what part of rgistering I'm having troubles with?
Thanks
Andy

Andy,
Our member list is in the "Members Only Section" because we have other information (that the members do not want made available to the public) in that list also. We are working on a way to identify club members on the forums. There are many members who are on this site, OGF, and/or OHFishing.com. We also have a few members who do not have computers, and rely on the monthy meetings for all their info.
If you want, PM me the user name that you want, password, and e-mail address, and I will set up your account for the forums for you. |

Lured2000, The members have their personal cell phone numbers up and some have their home phone numbers up there as well. That is what most don't want the whole world to see. I'm not really sure why you MUST have a members list. Just come check us out at our next meeting. Its May 13th at 7 pm at Koster's Bowling Alley in Elyria, Oh. If you need directions I can help you out with that just let me know.

Never said you MUST have a member list. I can understand not wanting phone numbers and such but would think just a list of names wouldn't do no harm but I must be missing something. My point is maybe people like me would be more liekly to come to a meeting if they knew who was in the secret club.

Come to a meeting and see. There are guys from all over northern ohio. Come on out Andy and see what the secret is all about. LOL. |

Andy, We are all members of Fishing Anonymous and don't want anyone to know who we are. LOL, Only kidding. The majority of the members did not want a list posted in the open, so that is what we have chosen to do. A majority of the members on the forum are also members of the club. I know another club posts it's members list in the open for all to see including phone numbers. That may be why some of them don't want a public listing. I will ask at the next meeting and see what is said, and will let you know. FishingFantom, Not yet but we are trying to get Al Linder or Hank Parker to a meeting. There is a possibility. |

WBSA is the club that Bob Why is referring to. Our club members want it that way overall and just a few don't and we accomodate them by not posting that info. Email and general locations are also embedded so that robots can't gather them. It is a very convenient way for club members to contact each other and if we thought that it caused security or spam problems we wouldn't do it. As far as i know it's not a service many have and our members overall are happy with it, especially those that have charters and other businesses. I'd be surprised if Bob himself hasn't availed himself of it in while in search of boat rides.
We also signed up for the Hank Parker and Al Lindner speaker drawing. While it is a possibility it is like a snowball in hell chance. |

Well I would say thanks for the answer but not sure I really got one but no problem, that's your choice for YOUR club.
BK - Didn't mean to touch a nerve. Sorry for asking questions.
Bob Y - Lets try this, how many members are there in your club?
Marc - Seems reasonable that if someone doesn't want their info listed that you just wouldn't.
Wish this weather would cooperate so i could get away from the puter and back on the lake.

Andy, For what it's worth, I joined the WBSA for a number of reasons but one reason was I saw their current members list.
1. I saw that Tarvis Hartman was a member from their listed member list and I really enjoyed listening to Travis share his knowledge at seminars that I have attended and wanted to be a part of the club that Travis supported.
2. The open sharing of their denied fishing reports that Marc and Travis post to the public.
3. Their meeting notes are open to the public. Lots of good information in these meeting notes.
4. I saw that a lot of guys that I have come to know at Lake Erie were current members.
5. They have an annual skeet shoot and wild game feed and I like to shoot clays and eat dead wild animals. LOL |

Lured, Anglers are out there today, no white water. Put the putter away. Gas in Vermilion is 3.79 on shore, if you can fill up elsewhere cheaper.
By the way, both clubs are great! The WBSA and Marc, gave me a ton of help when I had the shop. They gave even though I wasn't a member of the WBSA, sure I donated. But they really went out of their way for me helping with my tournaments.
NCA as well have a BUNCH of great folks too. Every club, people, kids, you, me, organization has a learning curve that needs to be tweeked. Nothing is perfect. I bet you NCA took note to this post. Nothing is perfect, we all know this. Effort=Results . Both clubs are ptting forth effort and need input always.
Both clubs , like people, have there own personality.
Ya started a good thread.
Kinda nice not having a shop anymore, I don't worry about being judged. I can be me. Tite lines, Dave P.S. The only fella I know that is perfect is "GOD" |

Lured You didn't strike a nerve but I'm not sure what you really want as an answer to your question. I thought I did answer your question but aparently you need to be a little more specific about what you want. All I'm saying is to come check us out. We are all willing to lend a helping hand out there on the water. Come see if you like us or not and if you do join, if not don't but it won't cost you anything to come check us out. As for a members list I believe you can go on the NCA forum and look at our forum members list. Most of them are our members. Hope this helps man.

Andy, It was voted on tonight and there will be a list on our site in the near future of our members. Mark, No I haven't. All of the numbers I have used I obtained from the individuals themselves. |
