Will it be worth the effort to hit a trib Sat? Would you recommend spawn sacks still? I saw a lot of really nice fish last Sat in a tributary of the Ashtabula River. THAT got me pumped up. ErieBoy75
If the water in your trib is fishable and not blown out then yes spawn will still work. The water is still cold enough. Once it starts to warm it won't be worth a darn then. But it's gonna be a little while yet before that happens.
you may want to try yarn (egg patterns ) flies various colors and woolly buggers black and purple this time of year ..the ash has been hot and that is what i hear that has been working very well out there .. those fish are in the mood and getting her done .. then out they will go .. Wake
I'm still pickin' em on spawn though. So that bite hasn't stopped yet. I'll keep chuckn it til it does. Then out comes the yarn. Nice to see you make your return to the site Wake. You outta stop by the club forum sometime and add your two cents and get your rear end to another meeting. LOL. Happy steelheadin'!

Does anyone know any good tribs by the V that will fish Sunday? I have fished cold creek and done "OK" and hit old woman creek and got skunked. Anyone care to hook me up? Would love to get a few tomorrow and hate driving 3 hours out east.
