Well me and Jesse went and picked up a lot stuff today.I thought it was a really good show with a great turn out.Seen a lot of old friends and made a few more today. All in all it was a good time.It is nice to go to a true fishing-hunting show like this and every year I'm sure it will get bigger and better.Picked up my new gps/fish finder,2 Amish trolling bags(which I hope Doubleeagle-rednek and crosseyes got a commission on LOL) and a few spoons.
crosseyes it was very nice meeting you today and me and Jesse will take you up on the offer to go out with you some time this summer just let us know when. |

Double Eagle, I actually went up to a guy at Fin Feather Fur during the seminars, and said, hi, are you Double Eagle? ........he looked at me like I was about half goofy, said no. I started to explain, then said sorry never mind. |

| Tommy, Sorry dude, I live about ten minutes from the Fin. I get pissed just about every time I go in their store for lack of stock. I hate to say that but it is true, they stock their store about once a year it seems. I would rather drive an hour to Erie Out Fitters and give him my money knowing that he will most of the time have what I want. I know what you are saying, more people know me by Double Eagle than Rod Graser. Hope that some day will meet. CH 79 most Sundays!!! |

Double Eagle,
I was with Tommy that day. Any older, graying guy who was slightly overweight got asked if he was Double Eagle. It was somewhat embarassing! Jeez, Tommy sure wanted to meet you!! LOL - Just joking buddy!
I agree with your assessment of the Fin, I think Mike does buy one large lot about once a year and the stuff he buys must be old inventory or something because the selection isn't that good. Either that or the people he allows to purchase don't understand what it is they need to stock??? To have that big of a facility and not have the inventory I'm looking for is frustrating! I like Mike and consider him a friend but some of the focus has left since they moved into the new building. |

Keep in mind guys it is what it is. Their store isn't right next to the lake like the shops up here. They do have some things that you can't get up here though. Great ice fishing selection also! A pleasant change from the Wal-Marts or Gander Mountains. I think a lot of their money comes from their hunting section.

You all are right,I have been going to the Fin for years now and it is a good place to go but if you want Lake Erie gear you have to go to a Lake Erie specialty store like Erie outfitters.Shoot I live 20min from the Fin but when I needed some thing I always went to Dave's or Erie outfitters. The Fin carries a lot of Lake Erie things from spoons to drift bags, hooks etc but they don't carry the main stuff or the name brands we all use but a little of ever thing. D.E. is right if you really need some thing for our kind of fishing you better hit a local shop on the lake like Erie outfitters. |
