Got out this morning by myself to that same tributary and landed 4 of 6 fish I hooked up on. I believe it was colder this morning than it was on sunday when I was out. At least I was colder lol. All fish came on spawn. Was hard to fish the area because the last flood really did a number on the spot. It deposited a really large tree in the top half of the hole and it made for difficult casting. Nice cover for the fish but not so nice for me. Anyrate didn't seem to matter on color today. All the spawn I was using was still frozen from the last time the river was open. I just put them on while they were still frozen without even thawing them and still caught fish. I'll post a few pics when I get a chance. Off to do some plowing. Take it easy. Later dudes.

V is way too slushy to fish. I tried yesterday and you just couldn't get a good drift. Doesn't look like any warm weather for the next ten days either so that isn't good for steelie fishin. Oh well. Spring will be here soon. I'm hitting the ice this weekend.
