Just checked the standings in the FLW Bass Tourney in Lake Seminole, if I knew how to use this apple computer i would paste a link.

First day today, out of 187 Co-Anglers, 120 have 0 fish, he is one of them. Right now 4 Fish @ 14lbs is leading, but there isn't a lot of others with a bunch of weight, so by no means is he out of it.

I told him to try a Pearl Ghost.

He said the guy he pre-fished with on Monday has a Skeeter with a 225 on it, and that they were doing 75 through a stump infested lake. Said today these guys were passing so close they could smack hands, said he was skeered. Said a guy got run over in his boat last year.

75 MPH and passing close enough they could smack hands.......sounds like pretty much the same last year.....those of you who know him please get him a checkup from the neck up as I think he may either have a loose connection or something shorted out....

THAT'S NUTS!!!!!

Well, he turned it on the last day and finished 87th out of 187, with one fish at 3lbs 150z, about 3 lbs out of the money. So, this has served as a reminder to me of why I don't much like bass fishing.

Just got back from Lake Seminole and all I can say is "WOW - what and experience"!!

Got to fish with Mike Jackson the last day, he was in first place but ended up not catching any fish the day I was with him. (He finished second). I got lucky and caught an 3lb-15oz'r. Only fish of the tourney for me.
Lost two descent fish the first day which would have put me in the top 20. You don't want to lose fish in a tourney!!!

Learned a ton from Mike Miller who invited me down and a guy named Ron Yurko who is a legend in Ohio for Bass fishing and is known as the guy who pretty much invented flipping. He has won like 6 boats and about $140k last year. He stayed at our room pretty much the entire time there. Old Boy knows his stuff!!

For the money spent (about one guided trip) I got one hell of an education (a full week) in bass fishing!!!

BTW - Mike Jacksons' boat - Gambler- would do 85mph and on 2-3 foot waves, thats freaking flying!!!

Wish the weather would have been better - a huge cold front had moved in and shut the fish down. Morning runs were in 36 degrees! Fast and cold!! LOL.

Will NOT fish for food !!
