I find myself in a little bit of bind. I have two 7 foot uglystick lite rods. I love them. I use them for everything from bluegill to catfish and everything in between. However in the process of climbing in and out the boat one of them got stepped on. It did not brake thepole but did crush the top eyelet. it popped the metal ring out of it. I tryied to glue it back in but it would not stay in and through the process I have lost it. The eye is causeing a lot of line twist and I am afraid will lead to cutting a fish off. So all that said do we have anyone on here or does anyone know any one that would be able to getthe old eye off and put a knew one on for me?
Hey Robert, There was a guy I believe his name was Rich that did a seminar at Dave's last spring. He has a little business called Erie Reel Works. I'm pretty sure he does rod repair. He lives in Independence but I had him do a once over on some of my reels and he was pretty fair in price. His number is 216-571-3743. Give him a buzz and see if he can help ya. Also there is a guy that advertises on this site by the name of Capt. Steve Ball who is into rod making. He is in the Huron area. I'm not sure if he does rod repair but he is a really nice guy and could probably help you out. His number is 419-656-8990 or email him at sball6422@aol.com. Hope this will help you and let me know how everything turns out. Tell Steve if you talk to him that BigKev sent you his way.
