Sorry I didn't get this up sooner guys, just didn't have time. Walleye1kinobe, Coach12 and I got out on Sat. night and had a slow but steady night. 6 fish with one going 10.8lbs. It was caught on a clown husky jerk #12 55 back of the boards trolling at 1.3 mph. A very nice brightside to a slow night. Got out Sunday night with Double Eagle and Redneck and we could only muster one fish. Just wasn't our night. Heard a couple guys say they boated a whitefish the last couple of nights. Kinda neat. If any of you guys that were out fishing the last couple of nights and caught one of those got a picture please post it for everyone to see. Anyrate enjoy the pics and hopefully we'll be able to do a few more trips before the weather gets to rough to be out there. Later dudes.

Dan, I was out with BK and Redneck last night, we only caught one and had one pull back. Wish I knew you were out there we could of hooked up and double teemed them. Someone came in right as we were getting ready to pull out and they had 9 eyes and 2 steelies. They must of been in deeper water!!!! Beautiful night, too bad they had lock jaw!!!

WTG guys now I wish we would have waited but thought Friday was worth the chance,,,NOT!!!

Fished Cleveland from 9pm-5am,radio chatter of an earlier bite with many gone by 9pm was encouraging!!!Fished the outside of the wall all the way to the river and we tucked inside to find good marks but terrible river wash and pulled lines by the Rock Hall because of too many fouled baits.Pulled all and went looking for marks that took us to the Gold Coast to find lame marks and a lack of bite.So we pulled again and ran to the horseshoe and found some marks but still not even a pullback.Reports show Saturday night went pretty good but there was no ambition left to try as this was the second long night of the week.

Don't worry dear once we get past this rough water it will flatten out.

You don't see them much, if at, all anymore. The one pictured is quite large, for a whitefish.
Said to be very tasty.

http://www.epa.gov/med/grosseile_site/indicators/whitefish.html

I was going to say what I know about the whitefish but that article posted earlier has most of it (came from Detroit River, usually around the islands and west, ect) I heard they are bottom feeders but??

My father went to Ardicks in Lorain to pick up some smoked salmon and the guy said they were smoking whitefish. He had me look up what they were about because he never really heard of them.

Since I heard they were real good to eat I thought they may have been sheepheads

I think there is still a commercial fishery for them on the eastern end of the lake.
