Fished north of the Rte 2 bridge today from about 9:15 until 3:00. I got alot of casting practice in with 3 little 3" long shiners to show for my efforts. Man the river is loaded with shiners all over the place. I was using jig and maggots, flies and even tried a few spoons We did see about 10 steelies caught during that time, all but 2 were caught on either maggots or wax worms drifted under a float and the other 2 were caught on spinners. My buddy had one on and got it with in about 5' of the bank when it started rolling and broke his line. At least he had one on, the lucky dog. The river is low and extremely clear and didn't have alot of flow to it. Up until about 11 the steelies were busting shiners on the surface. Had a good time just being out today and it was nice to talk to Dave at the shop for awhile this morning. BigKev was that you I saw this morning with the orange ball cap and the 2 guys fishing? If it was did you do any good where you were at? I fished just around the next bend. Lynn
