| Its a 1984 Baha 255 w/305 230hp Merc. inboard. Wanted to buy an inexpensive boat to "test the waters" per say on the whole Lake Erie fishing venue. I have an 18' Seapro center console bay boat but it's just a little to small for the big pond. |

| Great boat man but as the season closes it's going to drive you crazy all winter long not being on it.Great looking boat and you sure will be able to go any where in it. |

BFG - I agree with you on the bow looking like its low in the water??? It looks like thats were the waterline is but it doesn't seem right !!! The fuel tank is on empty and its in the rear & large, so I'm wondering if once I fill her up if that will change how it sits. I looked under the cuddy and can't see any reason for the bow to be that low? No water or anything. This is a mid-engine boat but if anyone has any ideas, I'd really like to hear them!!! It does have me concerned somewhat. If it was gold bars in there I would have bought a better & newer boat !! :-) |

| Don't worry bout that nose SeaPro, it's low profile & stealth like so's we can sneak up on the fishes. Guess we'll find out Thursday. |

Looks clean for the year and is a quality build that should make you smile, hopefully all is well.
Wrangler Boat is my neighbor and I spend a lot of time there looking at all the build and repairs they do.Last season they did a transom and stringer job on a 28 Baha of that era.Tom was shocked to find four bags of concrete per side on the outside of the stringer grid.It mystified him so much that he called Baha to get the scoop as he had never encountered any thing like this in 30 plus years in the business. He was informed that they were put there at the factory???!!!So there were another 8 bags "installed" believe it or not.I cannot remember if there was an answer from the rep as to exactly why they were there.I know he would relate anything he was informed of from them, his name is Tom Ayres and the number is in the link below.
Good luck with your new toy!!!

Thanks for the info Craig !!! I will certainly contact your neighbor. I've decided to contact Baha also. The stringers and transom on mine are good thankfully. If anyone else has any feedback, I'd really appreciate it !!
