With the steelhead season just waiting too bust lose anytime now. I revamped the written hunting permission slip to a written fishing permission slip.

This is a written permission slip that you can take to privet property owners and have written permission too fish their property. The law requires you to have a written permission slip from the land owner to trespass.

Some times its a pain to fill out something and have that owner sign or the land owner might not be home. You could just leave this document and have them fill out to pick up later date. It makes the land owner feel more comfortable and respected when you ask before you go fishing. If you see something that you feel should be added please say so we all can C.Y.A.

Studies have shown that more than 1/3 of all landowners who post will give permission to hunt and fish if they are asked.

Not asking for permission is one of the major factors leading to additional posting. Asking for permission takes time and effort but you will be well rewarded with new places to fish.

PLEASE DO NOT TRESPASS WITHOUT WRITTEN PERMISSION!!!! IT WILL SAVE YOU A FINE OF OVER $500.00+!!!!

Hey!! any time spinner!! I keep a few in the car so if I see a place I'd like to fish I can just stop and hand one out then. I keep one for myself and the land owner have one also so he knows who I am, how to get a hold of me and what car I drive.

1/3 of people will let you if asked? Maybe 20 years ago. Now adays no one allows you to hunt and most won't let you fish unless you know them. I use to love to hunt but no longer hunt because the spots I grew up hunting is all posted and no one allows you to use their land. Everyone is afraid to get sued or is against hunting now adays.

Yea I don't even try anymore. I hunted the same land for 15 years then got chased off. I like to hunt deer and rabbit and waterfowl. I had a few farms that I hunted rabbit from and the owners sold and new owners won't allow hunting.

It's a shame guys for the past 20 years around the New London area you could get permission to hunt but around 10 years ago the city boys from the bigger cities started coming down with out permission and just pulling off of the road and went hunting and that left a bad taste in the farmers mouth so most want let you hunt unless you are old high school friends, and then know that the farmers boys are older, the boys and there friends only hunt the family farms around here and then to make matters worse we have seen over the past 10 years that a lot of retired people from ford etc that have moved away from Lorain etc and come down this way and built a 1/4 million home sitting on 150 aces and think the deer are so pretty UNTIL THEY HIT ONE,but they will not let you hunt either.
That's the reason why I have turned most of my attention to fishing because I never need permission to go on the Lake and Reservoirs unless it is from my wife.LOL
