Went to Copper Kettle around noon to check on mine and all the boats but 1 were afloat there, apparently it had a weak transom and the lower unit allowed water to flood in when the boot ruptured from the presure of the I/O hitting the mud. I talked to a guy who said that they were all on the mud yesterday until the water started to rise early this AM. The ones on the floating docks were looking OK, but he said that the ones tied to the permanent slips were hanging from their ropes until the water lifted them. Also advised to watch your lower unit water intakes as they might be blocked by mud. Level is still down a couple feet.

| I'm new here, and to boat dockage. My 17ft Rinker died on me this summer, so I upgraded to a 24ft Bayliner and docked it at Beaver Park. If Copper Kettle was that low, was Beaver Park also? Does that happen alot there during this time of year? Everywhere? |

About once a Fall....maybe less. The water level is usually down in Sept/Oct anyway, then couple that with 35mph winds from anywhere west (due west, SW, SSW, NW, NNW) and we get a huge seiche affect. I've seen cleats pulled out of boats at stationary docks in years gone by. I bet Maumee Bay was mud. ErieBoy75 |

| Wow, thats amazing. Thanks for the info gentlemen. My wife and I checked on my boat at Beaver and it looked like the lower unit was in the muck. It seemed to run ok, so I'm relieved. |
