Dave has em in 5/8 oz. White, yellow and chartreuse. Green, Orange, Purple and Firetiger will be in the middle of next week. Take note, the bait rig in the photo has been retired forever!

Why is this one retired? I don't see any scratches?

The spoon is still in service and on Tracy's pole waiting for action. It's that lousy crappie rig on the seat I was referring too.

I ran the new perch spoon today in 1 3/8 oz size. When I first put it on my first four perch were a little nicer size than I had been catching. You have to be on the ball when you get a hit and be ready to set the hook or you will find a bait less hook when you check. The 1 3/8 oz size was just what the doctor ordered for me as I like a lot of weight when perch fishing. I also used the spoon as a weight off of my spreader and left the hook baited giving me the weight I wanted and a extra hook. There were many times today when the spoon caught the fish and one time I found all three hooks with fish. I think this spoon is going to work out well for me and be a asset to my perch fishing. Thanks Don!!!! Old Pete Tackle

Tim has gone and done it again. The latest batch arrived today and I'm hard at em. The Firetigers are awesome. Double Eagle might not go after the Eye's on Saturday, but that Perch pot instead. Don't have any light left tonight or I'd put up a shot of em. Will get it up in the morning. Along with the orange, green and purple one's. We loved em for Perch, but man are they gonna go in the spring on some Eyes, can't wait. Thanks a bunch Tim.

Here's the latest batch, all the same sizes. Will have some of the 5/8" to Dave's tomorrow. I can't wait to try em on some Eyes as well as Perch. The camera does not do the Firetiger's justice.

I took a call late last night from Mark, the other guy you gave a few samples to Friday night after the dinner.

He said he went out perching Saturday and gave your new perch rig a try along with his favorite spreader on another rod.

He said with-in two minutes the crappie rig was laying in the bottom of the boat and he was up and down with your rig. He told me he pulled well over 80 nice perch in a few hours

He said his limit catch that he took home, dressed out at 11 lbs. of fillets which is one of his best perch yields ever.

Mark sends his sincere thanks and is interested in buying a few more of your perch rigs. He, like Big Al, is interested in getting a few heavier versions from you also.

Nice Job to you and Tim!

Thanks Larry, that's good to hear with all this bad weather and the tourney coming. I'll be rigging some of the heavier one's this week for sure. Double Eagle uses the bigger ones already and likes the feel of the heavier weight. Captain Dale out East as well liked the 1 1/8 oz. Tim has a sample coming of a bucktail for me to tie, that may have a head with the Fuschia color Captain Al is after as well for his Amish customers. We'll let him have a look at it real soon. I believe Tim also said he sent some out for Gold plating and you know those will do well. Glad I had some along that night and that Mark got out to use em. If we could donate that many nice filets Saturday there'd be some happy campers somewhere.

My wife and I perch fished Pete's spoons on 11/24 off of Lorain. These spoons are much easier to fish then spreaders. Very sensitive to the bite. 56 perch in 3 hours.

Thanks Don, Keep up the good ideas.

Hiram,
Thank you for the post.

I try to show anglers in the shop this bait and they look at me like I am crazy.
