what a crazy week mark.thank god today was not the hawgfest, started off monday with 4 tickets and 30lbs in five largest(petty good bag of fish)then i went out thursday and got 3 tickets with five weighing in at 24.5lbs still not a bad bag of fish.really thought i was going to smoke them today but came up short five fish today was just 17.75lbs.there seems to be some really nice 01 class fish out ther they are 26-27" and weight 7-8lbs if you can get a couple of those and a couple 5-6lbs 03 fish you should be around 30lbs.I mean one fish o with those and your in good money.two weeks to hawgfest still time to practice.

Went out yesterday afternoon for a couple of hours trolled from the 33 line to the 29 line in between 15 and 17 only charted a couple small packs of fish come home when none in the boat. Is fishing in the morning better than fishing in afternoon this time of year are does it not matter?

It seems to be better in the afternoon on the days I fish in the morning.

I love fishing in the afternoon till dark. The bite seems to turn on when the sun starts to go down.In the morning when the suns starts to get high it seeems to slow down.Another reason I like the afternoon is that I am lazy and hate to get up! My opinion no matter what time of year not just now, if you figure time out on the lake to fish caught I think you will come up with later in the day also.

Fished the 33.5 16 line on Saturday afternoon. Picked up 21 walleyes in about 3 1/2 hours. Fished the same line Sunday morning. Boxed 7 and lost four in less than an hour, then it shut down. Finally moved out to the 34 line and filled out a three man limit in about 2 hours. 3 oz. inlines 70 feet back, 2 oz inlines 48' back, bottom bouncers 2 cranks off the bottom, three or four each day on reefrunners 80' back. Everything caught on pink or purple or combination of the two.
