After only pulling 10 eyes yesterday we were ready to get after them today. Well the day started off pretty good and just went down hill from there. The bight got real tough after say 11am. Had them going on harnesses and reaf runners. We learned yesterday the bite was up high in the 20' mark. Well in the afternoon the clouds came and the rain came on shore so we kept fishing for about a hour more waiting for the rain to stop on shore. We still got into it and got wet. All and all it was a good day. Had a crew of four and ended up with 20 fish with one going a little over 11# and that was after it was blead and hauled home in the cooler. Heard you on the radio Hawg Hunter but never did get a eye ball on you, hope you also had a good day. Did you and Sara-J bond?

Yes we bonded.I took alot of heat on the boat for that from The Czar. We started off trolling north at the 30.5/16, not a bite till 31.6/16.2 pulled 7 at that spot. 40 jets 100' back and 40 feet of line 3oz dive bomb then another 40 back--mixed veggies, double orange crush harnesses. Got into the 32 line to many boats so we turned back south, hit the same area pulled 4 more and lost 2. Died out for a while we went to 75' back on the 40's and pulled the 3oz inlines up also bumped the speed to 1.9 . The 40's did the rest of the work. Hooked up with Gary and the day was over. 4 tickets 1- 7lb fish , 5- 6lb fish , the rest 18-23" fish. |

DE We didn't start picking fish until about 11. We started east of the pack/sandbar, then moved SW and trolled by a small pack of perch fishermen. We had good action until the breeze stopped and I spotted the heavy clouds to the SSW. We ate lunch, hauled the lines and headed in. All were caught 85 back on 2 oz (boards and straight off the back) and a dipsey at 95. Go figure. Color didn't seem to matter much....orange, green & orange with silver willows, perch blade with gold beads, all green blades with orange & green beads....OK, a little green & orange slant to the harnesses... The boat was covered, gear stowed and we walked into the house when the clouds opened up. A great day for me & the Mrs. ErieBoy75 |

| We ran the 31 from the 16 to the 18 with my hottest being at the 17 area. Every thing was doing good until they kind of just shut down on us. They were robbing us blind on worms so my cousin went to gulp. Cranks were on fire for a while, the last hour we put out all cranks only to get one more eye. I just spent an hour or so putting away all of my spoons, harnesses and cranks that I had out. Just might be perch time for me or not!! I would like to see a good perch fall for a change. Might start trying Cleveland. |

| DE when your cousin put on the gulp did you do any good on it. Always wondered if plastic worms would work as good as regular nightcrawlers. |

| I can say I have NEVER caught a thing on gulp!!! But I do know people say they do. We were also in a slump so not a fair test. Just got tired of putting new worms on and feeding other fish!! |

| A friend of mine fished nothing but gulp turtle back worms last year and he caught over 500 some fish. I think however he is running worms this year. So I know it works but I think like everything if you ain't got any confidence in it ain't going to work. |
