Posted - 04/29/2008 : 10:48:04 well i decided to see if i could catch or see any steelhead in the river the other day.no luck for steelies but i did manage to catch 4 smallmouth 1 whitebass and 1 carp.the carp are in there pretty good.I saw two gar in the water when i was walking out.Havent seen any of those in a while.here are a couple of pics of the smallie.all fish were caught on a small 1/32 oz. white hair jig.Oh yah be careful the slate river bottom is very slippery.I fished all day only to fall in the water when i was walking out.glad nobody saw that.
