Went out Saturday, straight out of Hot Waters to about 45 fow. Used my standard croppie rig on one pole, Ole Pete's jig (I picked up at the German's Villa flea market) on the other. Killed 'em on Pete's rig, only small ones on the croppie rig. Put Pete's rig on both lines, done almost as fast as I could get them down and bounce them on the bottom. I had one really big shiner that got chewed up pretty good, but I got 6 big perch on that one mutilated minnow.
Love Ole' Pete's lure. Stopped in at Hot Waters and told the gal there to get some of Pete's jigging lures. I don't see them too many places (yet)
Also discovered my bilge pump finally puked out. Bummer!

We took a steelhead in cleveland with one of those jigging spoons and lost something very very large in the fall.

Good Luck

I know they look weird, they work. When we had the shop they sold very very well. They catch eyes too. Buy the one's with a leader on them.
Take care,
dave

Fast action 3 miles N of the Lorain outer light.
Mixed sizes, only a couple 'other' fish.

Freebie or Double Eagle -- What kind of Ole Pete's jig are you guys talking about? Got a picture? They have a lot of different kinds on their website. My boat's not even in the water yet, but I'm going soon.

went tuesday about 3 miles off the lighthouse in 40' just short of a limit. nice size, 10"12" and most of them wide as they were long. old pete's and perch spreader. equal results. struck out on walleye, although my new hummingbird 787 showed in vivid color and clarity the walleye i was not catching. if anyone wants to go out during the week, day or night let me know.

Wish I could of been there with you on Sat., had other duties calling. I also love Old Pete's perch deal, it has been real productive for me. I have even used it for the weight on perch and crappie rigs with great results!!!! Hope to see you soon my old friend, may be this Sunday!!
