No, there are no walleyes to report. I keep trying, though.
Monday night after I fished for 1/2 hr or so, I grabbed my minnow net and caught about 4 dozen to try my hand at freezing them. Dip #2, just for fun (I caught all 4 dozen on the first dip), netted me somewhere around 8 dozen shiners and a few shad. Dip #3 I went deeper to catch more shad (good inland pond bass bait) and I could have overflowed a gallon bucket with just bait. If there are any walleyes around, my guess is that they're full of food and not inclined to hit a lure! Wow!
