Posted - 04/28/2008 : 20:46:34 ekoehler, Sounds like you had a good day on the lake. I took the kids to Tappan and had pretty good luck with the crappies and even boated a few bonus perch. Suree ended being a nice day on the lake. I was thinking of erie the whole time wondering if anyone was having any luck with the eyes. It should only get better as the lake warms up. Thankds for posting!!! |

Posted - 04/26/2008 : 08:27:09 I would say try around sherod park in 21fow, If you don't spot fish move closer to shore. We caught them in as little 10 fow during the day. They are catching them in at that area at night in close to shore. |

Posted - 04/26/2008 : 07:18:13 ekoehler, looking at my fishing logs for the last 2 years we picked them up spotty in front of the new condo's east of the river and west towards the castle and ruggles area. slow trolled worm harnesses and crankbaits off the inline boards. Nearshore rather than off shore for sure. let us know how you do. I'm taking the family down to Tappan lake tommorrow to chase some crappie and saugeyes. The big Lake needs to get in the low 50's before I like taking the family up. Also take some minnows with you as the perch fishing is usually great about now if you can't get into the eyes! -The lundfishrmen- |
