Posted - 07/20/2008 : 09:47:59 We headed to the castle area you mentioned, small pack of boats there, started marking a lot of fish, only problem was I think there was a sheephead convention going on! I kid you not I think we were pulling one in every two or three minutes! I thought I had snagged bottom once, turned out to be a foul hooked walleye, decent fish, was like pulling in a log cuz he was sideways. Must have caught 20 -30 sheeps, my son would have enjoyed it, SeaPro managed one more eye there, about six o'clock I said ok, let's head back to the place we were this morning, SeaPro said, I'm done. I think he had a bit of heat stroke, cuz after we got in he wasn't feeling too well. Good seeing you guys out there, we'll do it again.

Posted - 07/20/2008 : 08:32:14 Tommy & Seapro, Thanks again for the lunch. It was good workin the same areas as you guys tryin to find some active walleyes. All in all still a good day on the lake. Better than work thats for sure. Did you guys have any luck when you went back out in the afternoon??? Hopefully you found some hungry fish out there. I guess a bad day makes us all appreciate how great the fishing usually is on Erie. -Lundfishrmen- |
