Have you guys ever gotten together and had mini-tournaments? Say anybody going out on a Saturday or Sunday, give Dave $1, $5 or $10, payout for biggest total catch, biggest fish etc.?
Just an idea, we could work out the details later, like how many lbs we would be handicapped by vets like BigKev, DE and a couple others.

Handicapping on fishing....now there is a concept....DE isn't that cute, they put you in my league. LOL Just kidding buddy. I may be in for sunday. Let me know if you guys are gonna do this or not. I know some others that would be interested as well.

Man, look how quick BigKev jumps in there, guy gets a third place Fest finish and thinks he's all that and a bag o' chips Well let me tell you you're in for some stiff competition, DE may I please fish with you.
As far as handicapping, and mind you I have fished O tournies, I just think if it's a 5 best fish finish, and there are 4 guys in a boat with 8 lines in the water, vs a 1 or 2 man team, with the appropriate lines out, there ought to be some sort of handicap?

| Let me know, I just left a post on your other topic. My son and I are looking to go, I'm taking my boat to have the carbs rebuilt. You could teach us to perch fish, and then show us how to clean them, after watching about 50-60 I think I could get the hang of it. |

Tommy it was all a joke bud....DE is normally the first to take a stab when its that easy so I thought I'd one up him....So are we gonna do this sunday? If Toolman is that broke we could just do a braggin rights tourney? LOL And for your information mister....I've fished seven tourenys this season finishing first in two of them a second and a third in the Hawgfest. Not to shabby I think. Took a real beating though in the first two tourneys. Gotta take your lumps as well. Spent a lot of time and gas money out on the big pond to have it pay off like this though. If we are gonna do this where are we meeting on Sunday? Dave's before 7 am? Any other suggestions?? Longest or Heaviest five fish? Do we have a scale if we are going by weight? Gotta get the ground rules laid out prior to sunday so if there are any suggestions voice your opinions.... Lets just have fun fishing for some pigs though.

| I know you were Kev, as was I. Spotting us 1lb1/2 each would be good I think. If I go it's going to be with Lundfshrmen, Team Lund and all ya know. I have to take my boat to have the carbs rebuilt, it ran pretty bad the last time and don't want to chance it any longer. 8am would probably be better for me, driving from Msfd., and having to wake a 17 yr old. Let's everyone firm it up tomorrow. Cripe, you think as much as we spend in his shop Dave could by a scale and some donuts eh? |
